It had been a long, tiring day at Hogwarts, and Professor Gregory Cavanagh had spent most of the day of his arrival getting settled in. His classroom was still a mess, and his office was also still filled with multiple unpacked boxes. It wasn't like he didn't want to do it - he had to, and somewhat wanted to - but the fact of the matter was that he was distracted. It had been so long since he had been here during his days of being a student...and it was hard to believe he was back, as a teacher and head of the house he had been in, many years later. Walking into the Great Hall, his dark black robes billowed behind him as he made his way to the long staff table. He nodded his head to whatever other teachers were there, and settled down into a chair towards the middle of the table, looking at the food and deciding what to choose.

Poe was tierd and hungry so she sat down to eat. "Hello I'm Herbology professor and ravenclaw HoH how are you and Oh my name is Poe." Poe said to the other staff member.

Greg settled on cutting himself a piece of chicken and taking soup, and as he did so he noticed another unknown person sitting down at the table. He gave her a quick smile, keeping his attention on his food for the moment so as not to drop or spill it onto the table. When he was all settled, he looked back up and gave a polite nod and a bigger attractive smile of acknowledgement. "My name is Gregory Cavanagh, newly appointed head of Hufflepuff and Astronomy professor...but you can just call me Greg. After all, collegues shouldn't have to be too formal." He stuck his fork into the meat of the chicken breast. "Glad to meet you, Poe. I'm doing fine tonight, and you?"

"Oh im doing fine but I got lost a few times I bet that youv'e gotten lost too." Poe looked at Greg and got some food.

"Once or twice," he replied, taking another bite of his food. "But only because I haven't been here in a long while." It was true, he hadn't been in Hogwarts since he gradutated more than 7 years ago, but luckily nothing had really changed in the school, and he managed to remember some things while walking around again. "This was my home away from home...it's good to be back, and with a new opportunity." He began to chuckle. "I almost never thought I'd graduate. Used to goof off a lot with my friends as a student."
