Miley smiled and stood up. She jumped in, falling right into Jared's arms. "Alright, but I'm warning you I'm fast. I've been swimming all my life. Practiclly." Miley said looking at him.

Jared smiled and put Miley down into the lake. " ok...but I am pretty good myself too. Jared got to the end of the dock and waited for Miley to follow him there.

jared looked at Miley and then ahead of him," 3.....2......1......GO!" Right after he said go, Jared bolted from where he was and he swam as fast a s he could. He kept his eyes on the destination that he was going to and swam with almost all his speed. He was saving it just in case Miley decided that she wanted to go faster then him. He looked over at Miley and thought that she was a really good swimmer. She was just swimming like nothing that important was going on. Just going for a daily swim or something like that.

When Jared said 'Go' Miley started swimming. She wasn't going nearly as fast as she could, just fast enough to stay with Jared. She looked over at him and gave him a challenging smile. She did this everyday so this was just another swim for her. Suddenly she put on some speed, moving only a little ways ahead of Jared.

Jared watched Miley and he saw her get ahead of him he used the rest of his speed then and there so that he could get even with Miley. He couldnt' go any faster then this. He thought to himself, I should probably do somemore swimming and then just kept going with it.

Miley bite her lip abit and let Jared get a little bit ahead of her. "You are good." She called, then put on some more speed so that they were even again.

Jared laughed so that Miley could hear him, " I think you are better than me though. " said Jared very truthful about it. He like the race. It seemed that right now they were about halfway done with the race...and his legs were starting to burn really badly but he didn't want to stop because he was having so much fun with the race.

Miley laughed too. "I think you're probably right. You should swim more. If you want to call it off we can call it a tie." Miley was actually starting to get tired. This lake was definatly bigger then the one back home.

Jared laughed and then said to her," nah, that is ok...i think i want to keep going. I have a little bit of energy left..." Jared just kept himself at a steady pace, not too fast for him and not too slow for him.
