Sabrina walked into class beaming. She was really excited about today's lesson. She took out here wand and wrote on the board:
Please take a seat and and take out a piece of paper for we will be using it a lot in this class right now. We are going to be learning about each other's character number.
She waited for other students to arrive.

Vanessa tore out a piece of parchment out of her notebook, and withdrew her favorite quill from her "quillbox" (pencilbox).

Jared walked into the classroom. He sat near the back and then he read the board. He noticed that Vanessa was in there and said to her," hey...what's up? " while he got out at least 6 peices of parchment and one of his good quills and some ink. He sat there patiently, waiting for the other students to arrive so that the lesson could begin.

Quade walked into the classroom and sat down next to Jared. He turned to Jared as he was getting his stuff out, and said, "hey, whats up?" then he lifted his parchment out of his bag and onto the table, his quill already in his hand.

"You guys may go ahead and walk around and talk to some friends once you have gotten your things out. We will start once there is at least 4 people here," Sabrina told the class when she saw that some people liked to talk to their friends while waiting. Today is going to be a tough day Sabrina thought to herself. With all of the new tactics and information about character numbers, it's really going to be hard if no one is going to be willing to answer her questions. She would have to explain everything to the class as if nobody was there. She sighed. The first lesson wasn't that bad but it wasn't that good either.

Jared was told that he could walk around the classroom and talk to friends if you had everyting ready for class. Jared set down the quill that was in his hand and walked over to where Quade sat. Jared looked down to where Quade was sitting and said to him," hey, what's up? " and then he took a seat that was right next to him.

" Good morning Cloe. Well I guess we should start the class now. Please take your seats. Today we are going to learn about character numbers and how to find them. When I assign homework later, I will pass out a list of the numbers 1 - 9 and their meanings along with it. You will use that list to find the meaning of your charcter number. I will get into that more later. So, to start off, does anybody know the system we use to find all of our different kinds of numbers? If so, do you also know how to find our character number specifically?" Sabrina said as she got the classes attention to listen. She sat there patiently for an answer from somebody.

Perhaps nobody knew was the problem. She raised her wand and: 123456789 ABCDEFGHI JKLMNOPQR STUVWXYZappeared in thin air. "I would like you guys to please copy this down for we will be using this for the rest of the arithmancy session when we find our numbers,"Sabrina said to the class.

Vanessa saw that her professor did not seem to want anyone to answer the question, so she just copied down the box of the numbers and letters Proffesor Potter had written on the board.

"To find our character numbers, we just simply add up the letters of our first name, simplify it, then add up the letters of our last name and simplify it. Simplifying it meaning if it was 24, then you would do 2 + 4 making it 6. But if simplifying it once still brings it to a two numbered digit, leave it. For example 46. Simplifying 46 would bring you to 10, but you don't simplify it again. This goes for all of the other simplifyed two digit numbers. To show an example, I'll use my name "Sabrina Potter"." Sabrina said explaining to the class. Again she raised her wand and :
S A B R I N A 1 1 2 9 9 5 1 = 28 2+8=10
P O T T E R 7 6 2 2 5 9 = 31 3+1=4 appeared in the air.
"Once you have found hte numbers of you name, then add them up." She said.
She raised her wand once more and: 10+4=14 1+4=5 appeared in the air.
" So, as you have seen my steps, calculating it up, my character number is 5. 5 is the number of instability and imbalance, indicating change and uncertainty. Fives are drawn to many things at once but commit to none. They are adventurous, energetic and willing to take risks. They enjoy travel and meeting new people but may not stay in one place very long. Fives can be conceited, irresponsible, quick-tempered and impatient. " Sabrina said to the class hoping she had not done something too much making it hard to understand. " Please, if you have any questions, please ask so you will not have a misunderstanding later on your homework. Perhaps maybe I should pass out the list of numbers right now. When you get it, please look at the defenitions of each of the numbers. When you read them, I would like you to think of maybe which number matches you most. When you figure which matches best with you, finish your homework ( when i assign it ) and see if the predicted number of yours really matches." She said giving very important directions.
Sabrina went up to her desk to get a stack of papers. She handed out one to each person. On the peice of paper was the list of the numbers' meanings. 1 This is the number of the individual, the solitary unit. Ones are independent, focused, and determined. They set a goal and stick to it. They are leaders and inventors. Ones find it difficult to work with others and don't like to take orders. They can be self-centered, egotistical, and domineering. They are often loners.
2 Two represents interaction, two-way communication, cooperation, and balance. Twos are imaginative, creative, and sweet natured. Peace, harmony, commitment, loyalty, and fairness are characteristic. But two also introduces the idea of conflict, opposing forces, and the contrasting sides of things: night and day, good and evil. Twos can be withdrawn, moody, self-conscious and indecisive.
3 Three represents the idea of completeness or wholeness, as in the threesomes past-present-future and mind-body-spirit. Three indicates talent, energy, an artistic nature, humor, and social ease. Threes are often lucky, easygoing, and highly successful, but they can also be unfocused, easily offended, and superficial.
4 Like a table that rests solidly on four legs, four indicates stability and firmness. Fours enjoy hard work. They are practical, reliable and down to earth; they prefer logic and reason to flights of fancy. They are good at organization and getting things done. Like the cycle of the four seasons, they are also predictable. They can be stubborn, suspicious, overly practical and prone to angry outbursts. The conflicts possible in "two" are doubled in four.
5 Five is the number of instability and imbalance, indicating change and uncertainty. Fives are drawn to many things at once but commit to none. They are adventurous, energetic and willing to take risks. They enjoy travel and meeting new people but may not stay in one place very long. Fives can be conceited, irresponsible, quick-tempered and impatient.
6 Six represents harmony, friendship, and family life. Sixes are loyal, reliable, and loving. They adapt easily. They do well in teaching and the arts, but are often unsuccessful in business. They are sometimes prone to gossip and complacency.
7 Perceptive, understanding, and bright, sevens enjoy hard work and challenges. They are often serious, scholarly, and interested in all things mysterious. Originality and imagination are more important than money and material possessions. Sevens can also be pessimistic, sarcastic, and insecure.
8 Eight indicates the possibility of great success in business, finance, and politics. Eights are practical, ambitious, committed, and hard working. They can also be jealous, greedy, domineering, and power-hungry. Eight is said to be the most unpredictable of numbers and can indicate the pinnacle of success or the depths of failure; the potential to go either way is present from the beginning.
9 Represents completion and achievement to the fullest degree (as it is the complete number, three, expressed three times). Nines dedicate themselves to service, often as teachers, scientists, and humanitarians. Strongly determined, they work tirelessly and are an inspiration to others. However, they can also be arrogant and conceited when things don't go their way
((My words are in red for a reason. Please practice finding some character numbers of some words besides your name. Yes, there are character numbers of everything. This practicing is worth mancy points depending on what words you choose. If you are found doing your name instead, you will get points taken away from you house))

((Actually, I want everybody to do this))"Everybody! Please, I would like you all to practice finding at least one word's number. For example:" said Sabrina. She raised her wand and: T E A C H E R 2 5 1 3 8 5 9 = 33 3+3=6 appeared into the air.
"The chracter number of " teacher" is 6. If you have any questions on how you do this, please ask me," Sabrina announced to the class.
