Showing Sis the Ropes {Leslie}

[Miley Riddle]

"Oh, fine. You're on." Miley said as she picked up speed and pushed passed a few fellow students, trying to reach the doors before her sister. Both sisters could be highly competitive and neither could turn down a dare.

Leslie flung open the doors, slamming into a student who was running in. Undetterred, she raced on, ignoring the yells thrown at her. Leslie looked behind her to see where Miley was.

The secound Miley stepped outside those doors she took off running at full speed. "Catch ya later sis." She smirked as she ran by Leslie, though she knew very well that she wouldn't stay ahead for very long.

Leslie smiled and sped up slightly, catching up with her sister. "This is too easy," She said, teasing her sister, and pushing her as she ran a little ahead of her. The forest was still far away.

[Miley Riddle]

Miley rolled her eyes. "Can't you go easy on me just once, Brainiac?" Miley called. She was strong, but she really needed to start running more and swimming abit less. Then, maybe, she'd be some sort of match for her sister. Miley kicked it up a notch. Okay two notches. She was now beside her sister and slowly trying to gain the lead.

"Nah, it wouldn't be fair," Leslie said, smiling. She effortlessly surged ahead, not breaking a sweat. The trees were moderately far away but closing in fast. She heard the wind whistle as she ran. "Come on Smiley, that the best you can do?" Leslie called behind her, grinning. Miley loathed that nickname for some reason.

Uh-oh. Leslie used the nickname. Miley's eyes turned a deep red and she bolted ahead. She easliy took the lead. Soon she was a few feet ahead of Leslie. Smiley made Miley so mad that it actually strengthened her, made her more determined to leave Leslie in the dust. "Yo, Brainiac, you hungry?" She called back, rather unexpectedly.

Leslie laughed. This made it more interesting. "Not really! Are you?" Leslie asked, speeding up even more, catching up with her sister. The forest wasn't too far away now. She wasn't going nearly as fast as she could.

[Miley Riddle]

Miley rolled her eyes and picked up a bit more speed. She hadn't gotten around to going to the lake yet today. That meant she had alot of energy. Normally she went straight to the lake for a swim when she woke up, but today she decided to go to the library and find her sister. Even though she was going pretty fast now it wasn't as fast as she could go. "Not really, had a huge breakfast. You ready to get a well-deserved beating?" She called back, for she'd somehow gotten in front of Leslie.

Fueled on by her sister's light teasing, Leslie smiled. The trees were getting really close now. She was going to have go faster. Leslie wondered if she should give it all she got or only beat Miley by a smidgeon. She decided to surprise her for once.

"Nope, but I think you're ready for one," She said, leaning against a tree on the edge of the forest. She had somehow got there uncannily fast.

Miley's eyes widened as she came to a skidding halt in front of Leslie. "But...how...you were just....," Miley stammered, cupping her hands on her knees. After a moment of trying to catch her breath she looked up at Leslie. "That wasn't fair...how the heck did you do that?"

Leslie grinned mischeviously. "I have my ways," She said, and then quickly added, "And I didn't cheat either. "I just have to imagine that..." But she left her sentence unfinished. "Now what?" She said with a shrug, looking around the edge of the forest with uncontained excitement.

[Miley Riddle]

Miley stood up, a mischevious smile on her face. "Well, I say we explore this Forbidden forest. What do you say lil' sis? Brave enough?" She teased and walked past Leslie, then started walking through the rather large trees.

[Leslie Riddle]

"Huh. 'Course I am," Leslie said, hurrying after her sister. She stared up at the canopy of trees in awe. She could already tell this forest was a million times bigger than the one that had been near their house. "This is amazing..." She said, picking up a leaf the size of her head. She looked up, wondering what tree it had come from.

[Miley Riddle]

Miley nodded and looked up at the canopy, a small smile on her face. She sighed as she slipped her hands into the pockets of her jeans. "It sure is. Never seen anything quite like it. Except for the lake here of course." Miley admitted with a laugh.
