The Teams
Teams are arranged within your house, and watched over by the Quidditch Captain. There are seven spots on each house team. During this time houses will play each other until we have one winner. For each term, we also need reserves and trainers, so make sure you do all you can to help out your house team!
The Match
There are four sets of questions that I will ask, to do with Harry Potter - the books, movies and random facts about the series. Chaser questions, Beater questions, Seeker question and Keeper questions will all be asked for points.
Chasers: Questions on Books 1 and 2, Movies 1 and 2
Beaters: Questions on Books 3 and 4, Movies 3 and 4
Seekers: Questions on Books and Movies
Keepers: Questions on The Movies, Characters(Real Life info)
So sign up for the position in which you feel you know more about, and good luck!
How the Game Works
I will begin by creating the game thread for both teams, then I will post a question at a time. I will clearly state at the top of each post what type of question it is, and players in that position in both teams will quickly post. The team who's player responds first will recieve the points. The points are as follows:
Chasers: 10 Points
Beaters: 5 Points
Seekers: 25 Points
Keepers: 10 Points
The least common questions are seeker questions. A total of four will be asked throughout the match, bringing you one step closer to the snitch (each time 1/4 closer to it) and finally close to it with the final question. The last question of the game will be a seeker question. Then I will add up the points and state who actually won.
Run through of the game
After creating the thread, the format runs like this:
#1 CHASER QUESTION
Chaser response, first one there scores a goal for 10 points
#2 CHASER AND BEATER QUESTIONS IN SAME POST
Chaser and beater response, if beater gets there first that takes 5 points off the 10 that the chaser could have scored. If chaser gets there first then they dodge the beater attack and score the full 10 points for a correct answer. If the chaser and beater are both on the same team, then nothing happens and points are awarded anyway for whatever happens.
#3 CHASER AND KEEPER QUESTIONS IN SAME POST
Chaser and keeper response, if the keeper gets there first the goal is blocked and 10 points are given to that keeper. If the chaser gets there first, then they beat the keeper and recieve 10 points for their team. If the chaser and keeper that post are both on the same team, then the goal is let in anyway for 10 points.
