Escaping

[Leslie Riddle]

"I can fight," Leslie said merely. She watched as the boy stumbled off. "Why in the world do you like to swim and how are you so good at it?" She asked, staring fearfully at the lake. She didn't understand how her sister could stand it.

[Miley Riddle]

"I know you can fight, but I'd rather you didn't. Unless it's a do-or-die emergency." Miley said with a shrug. She looked out at the lake, somewhat longingly. Her hair was still wet from her last swim and she already wished she was back in the sweet water. Sighing she replied, her voice gentle," I don't know. Maybe it's because when you're swimming it's almost like you're flying. You're weightless and free. Sometimes I imagine I'm swimming to place far away from all of this. Water to me is like the Forest to you."

[Leslie Riddle]

"You think I'm weak, then?" Leslie asked. "Or are you just paranoid?" She said with a slight smile. "Running is countless times better than swimming," She concluded. "And forests are hundreds of times better than lakes. End of story." She said with a grin.

[Miley Riddle]

"No, you're just weak. I'm paranoid about anything." Miley was obviously lying, but that was Miley for ya. She'd never give you a straight fully truthful answer if it might tell you something about her that she didn't want you to know. Which was pretty much everything. "Whatever sis. Swimming and lakes are alot better in my humble opinion. Course my humble opinion means nothing to you. So, I shall shut my humble mouth." Miley said with a smirk.

[Leslie Riddle]

"Liar," Leslie said, smirking. She somehow always knew when her sister was telling the truth or not. "Yes, please shut your humble mouth, it opens too often just to talk about worthless things such as swimming, humble one," Leslie laughed finally not able to withhold it. "I love you sis," Leslie said. She was so glad that she had a sister.

[Miley Riddle]

Miley was about to slap Lessy in the back of the head when her little sister started laughing. This sweet, sweet sound made Miley actually smile. Leslie was the only person who could get Milly to smile. Putting her arm around Leslie and said," Sadly, lil' sis, I love ya too." She loved having a little sister. It rocked in more ways then one.

[Leslie Riddle]

"Hey, Smiley, you're actually smiling for once," Leslie said, grinning happily. It was good to see her older sister smile once in a while. "Sadly? What exactly does that mean?"

[Miley Riddle]

Miley reached over and slapped Leslie in the arm. She did this whenever Lessy called her 'Smiley'. She hated that nickname. Yet she was still smiling. "It's Miley not Smiley. Yes, sadly. It means in a way which is sad. And you claim to be a brainiac." Miley's smile turned into an evil smirk. She loved teasing her sister about her brains. But like she'd earlier proved she was the only one allowed to tease Leslie about her brains. No exceptions.

Leslie shook her head disapprovingly. "You know that's not what I meant," She said, slapping her sister on the arm in turn. Then she turned contemplatively back to the lake. She was still short enough that she could swing her legs while sitting on the bench, though the tops of her shoes brushed against the ground. "I can't believe I almost drowned again," She said, then slapped a hand across her mouth. She hadn't told Miley about that other time. "Nice day isn't it?" Leslie asked, changing the subject with an innocent smile.

Miley looked at Leslie, anger in her eyes. "Again? Don't change the subject on me little missy. Explain yourself. Now." Miley set her hands on her hips, a sisterly concern in her eyes that she was obviously trying to hide with anger.

"Do you have to know everything about me? It wasn't a big deal, I'm alive aren't I?" Leslie tried to reassure her sister. "It's a nice day though, isn't it?" She said again. It truly was a nice day. The sun shone brightly, shimmering across the lake.

[Miley Riddle]

"Yes I do. Must I remind you that you're the only thing keeping me sane as I am. Yeah I guess you're right." Miley looked around, sighing abit. "Just next time would you tell me? Yes it is a nice day. That's why I was swimming in the first place. Why hadn't you been off running like this was a marathon or something?" Mile loved to tease her little sister.

Leslie didn't know what she'd do without her sister. Apparently, she would most likely be dead by now. "I was studying for an Herbology test, when those creeps interfered," Leslie said, crossing her arms.

[Miley Riddle]

Miley rolled her eyes slightly. "Studying? Why couldn't you have waited to get back to your dorm before studying?" It wasn't that Miley was mad at Leslie it was just she was over-protective.

[Leslie Riddle]

"I dunno, I didn't think I had to," Leslie said, looking down shamefully. Most of the time, she would do whatever Miley asked her to do, because she did respect her a lot. Not all the time of course. She shrugged. "Aren't you getting a little too protective, sis? Next thing you know, you'll be worried about me falling out of the window near my bed," Leslie said, with a smile to let her know she was joking. Actually...now that she had mentioned it...oh great. Probably Miley was going to worry about that now.
