hanging out (Miley Riddle)

Jared walked over to the lake. He had nothing better to do. He took off his shoes and he set them on the dock. After that, he walked to the end of it and he rolled up his pants. He sat at the edge and he stuck his feet in the water. It wasn't as cold as he had expected it to be but it was still a little chilly. He thought that it felt kind of good on his feet though, so he slipped a little farther into the water. It was up to his ankles now. He didn't care. It felt good on a day like this.

Miley sighed abit as she walked over to the dock. She'd woken up abit late this morning and was just now getting a chance to come to the lake for her daily swim. It didn't matter at least she'd get to swim anyway. So, not noticing the boy at the other end of the dock, Miley pulled her clothes off to reveal the purple bikini underneath.

Leaving her clothes and towel at that end of the dock she turned and headed for the opposite end. It was now that she noticed the boy sitting there. Miley rolled her eyes abit, but finally decided this might be a good chance to help spread her name abit further along the school. So, she walked up beside him and said, rather kindly, " Hi, I don't think I've seen you around here. I'm Miley Riddle."

Jared watched as a girl who had just come to the lake started taking her clothes off. He kept watching her, until she noticed him sitting there at the end of the dock.

" hey. I don't think I have seen you either. My name is Jared. I like your bikini. Purple is a good color. " Jared waited for a reply.He was patient though.

[Miley Riddle]

Miley looked down at her bikini. "Oh thanks. It's own of my favorites. I also have a black one, but normally I only wear that one if I'm swimming at night. Doesn't make sense I know, but it's just one of my things. Nice to meet you Jared. Mind if I sit down?" She asked pointing to an empty space next to him.

Jared focused all of his attention onto Miley as she spoke about a black Bikini. She was really nice and really talkative. He liked talking though so he guessed it was o.k. " Yeah...it's fine if you sit here. I like both black and purple. They are both really cool. I don't really swim much but i like to just stand in water." after saying this, he didn't care if he got his pants wet. He jumped into the water. Splashing Miley. He popped his head out of the water and he said to her," Sorry about that. Would you like to join me? "

Miley cursed under breath, realizing she was so talkative. "Sorry, I don't usually talk this much. Don't know what's up with me. Really? I swim every morning and twice at night, if I get the chance. Just my thing I guess." Miley actually laughed abit when the water slapshed her. Nodding she said," Don't mind if I do." With that she stood up and did a perfect swan dive into the water. As she came up she shook her head, making water fly at Jared. Miley wasn't usually this nice to people and she really wasn't sure why she was being nice to Jared. Oh, well. She finally decided.

Jared was happy that she would join him. He thought the way that she jumped into the water was very graceful and in a way...not very surprising for him. He laughed when she came out of the water and she sprayed him with water from her hair.At this notion, he took his hands and he splashed Miley as best as he could. He was having a lot of fun. He usually didn't swim this early in the morning. Nor was he really ever this awake. He just tried to ignore the thought though because he was just having so much fun.

Miley laughed as Jared splashed her. Splashing him back she said," What? Is that the best you can do? No offense, but that was pathetic." She was grinning which normally showed that she was only teasing, but the only person who would really know that was the only person she ever teased. Her little sister Leslie. Forgetting this she splashed Jared again, a slight smirk on her face.

Jared laughed even more as Miley kept splashing him with water. He laughed at the remark that she had made. He was used to them. He always had friends joking around like that with him. " Like you could do any better? " he asked while laughing. He was happy and having fun. He was happy that he decided to come to the lake that morning. He didn't know what else he would be doing otherwise. After awhile, Jared's arms started to get tired from all the splashing and he said to Miley," do you want to take a break yet?"

Miley laughed abit and shook her head to get her wet hair out of her face. "I know I could do better." She teased as she splashed Jared again. Miley was glad she'd come down to the lake even though she'd gotten up later then normal. It was much better to be here giggling to death then sitting in a dorm reading book after stupid book. "Yes a break would do us good, but don't think I'm admitting to defeat." She laughed and stopped splashing Jared. Her arms were tired, but at least she was having fun.

((Sorry it took so long for me to reply. I was out of town all weekend. Just got back. ^_^))

Jared laughed as Miley kept splashing him and he clambered out of the water, soaking wet and tired. He was still smiling though. He looked at Miley and sat down on the end of the dock," I haven't had this much fun in forever.Do you want to get back in again...after about 5 min.? "

Miley pulled herself up onto the dock next to Jared. She nodded abit. "Yeah neither have I. Sure, why not. So, Jared, what house are you in?" As Miley asked this she reached up and started ringing out her hair, trying to get some of the water out of it.

Jared watched Miley climb up the dock and place herself next to him," i am in the house of Slytherin....what house are you in? " after this he started to pat his legs and the water that was on his pants out. He knew that this was pretty much pointless since he was just going to get back in but it was cold against his legs.

Miley smirked abit and let go of her hair. "Oh well that changes everything. Let me reintroduce myself. Hi, I'm Miley Riddle. Slytherin Prefect." Laughing alittle she held out her hand for Jared to shake. She hadn't met any fellow Slytherins except for Jessica.

Jared laughed as Miley stood up to introduce herself once more. " hello...I am Jared Spurr, hopefully to be the male prefect of Slytherin." he shook her hand and then started to laugh again. He had never had anyone re-introduce themselves to him.
