hanging out (Miley Riddle)

Jared smiled. " that is kind of how i feel too. Until i meet someone that i really like. Know what i mean? Like it just sort of happens..."Jared had never really had a girlfriend and so he didn't really know what it would be like to have one. He really kind of wanted to know though. Just to see what it was like and to see if it was actually all that great and stuff.

" i don't think there are a lot of people here. There are like 2 kids over there by the forest...i think..." said Jared, pointing over to a spot where it looked like two people where standing." have you ever had a boyfriend though? I mean...you don't have to answer if it is personal. I have never had a girlfriend.

[Miley Riddle]

Miley nodded abit. "Yeah I know what you mean. Although it's never really happened with me." She laughed alittle as she realized what a sheltered life she'd been living.

"Yeah well I'm not sure I want to know what those two are doing." She laughed abit and raised an eyebrow. "Me? A boyfriend? No, I've never really talked to alot of guys. Just my father really." She giggled alittle and looked at the lake, kinda embarressed at the fact that she'd never actually spoken to a guy before.

" it hasn't really happened with me either. I talk to a lot of girls and all...but they just don't seem right to me sometimes..."

" probably gossiping about stuff or something." jared said laughing a little. " i don't really like talking to my dad all that much...it is just kind of embarrasing too. I don't see my mom...ever. It is fine that you haven't spoken to a lot of guys. You just talk to them when you feel comfortable enough to." Jared smiled at Miley. Hoping that he wasn't annoying her.

[Miley Riddle]

Miley nodded, laughing abit. "Yeah probably. Though gossiping seems pointless to me." She looked at Jared. "Talking to my dad freaks me out. That's why me and Leslie moved to the cottage. He actually left us alone there. I've never met my mum. Don't really plan on it either."

Miley smiled sweetly and nodded abit. "Yeah that's the plan. They can just wait till I'm ready." She laughed alittle and looked down at her feet.

" huh...cool. I just couldn't ever talk to my parents about my problems...it just seems too strange for me. What do you think your mom is like? I havn't really seen mine either."

Jared laughed and he was still smiling kindly. He wasn't emberassed around Miley anymore and it seemed like they had been best friends for forever. Even though they had just met. he thought that it felt cool. He liked talking to her. Like he just didn't want to stop. Jared reached for his shoe and saw something on it from the lake. He pulled whatever it was off and set it back down.

"Yeah me neither. I was forced to talk to my little sister about my problems. It sucked. I don't know. I think she's kinda like me. She must be cause it's hard to believe I'm my fathers child." Miley said looking at Jared again.

Miley actually felt really comfortable talking to him. She'd never felt like this before. Even though they'd just met she felt like she could tell Jared anything. She felt like she could be happy just sitting here talking to him forever and never get bored or tired of it. It was abit strange.

" yeah...i bet that i would probably feel that way too if i had a brother and i only talked to him for forever. "

Jared looked at Miley and said to her," Happy Valentines day! Even though i don't have a valentine..." Jared smiled after this and just watched Miley with a thought.

[Miley Riddle]

Miley smiled and looked down at her feet. "Thanks. Happy V-day to you too. Don't feel bad. I don't have a valentine myself." Miley said, glancing at him. Then quickly looking back down at her feet as if she'd never looked at him.

" thanks...hey......oh...nevermind." He was kind of embarassed for thinking this thought but he didnt' know what Miley would say if he actually said it or not. He looked at his feet with red cheeks. He didn't know what to do.

Miley looked up at him, a soft smile on her face. "No, what were you gonna say?" She asked, actually pretty kindly.

" no...i don't know what you will think...it's hard to say. " Jared looked at miley, cheeks still red and he tried to get it to go away by smiling at her.

"Who cares what I'll think? It's better to say what's on your mind then to keep it all inside. Alot of things are hard to say, but we find a way to say them anyway." Miley said kindly. She smiled abit as she looked at him. Jared was kinda cute with his cheeks all red like that. She bite her lip, unable to believe she'd just let herself think something like that.

Jared smiled," see..you are good with words...and now i am going to say it...well...this is still hard to say...would you....i mean...i know it is Valentines day and neither of us have a Valentine...so...would you want to be my Valentine? Jared looked straight towards the water right after he said this and he wouldn't break his eyes off of it. It was really hard for him to say that...he didn't know what Miley thought of it though.

[Miley Riddle]

"Normally I'm horrible with words. Oh....I...," Miley passed and took a deep breath. Pushing some hair out of her face she said," I'd love to." She started chewing on her bottom lip, though she seemed to be smiling at the same time. If that was possible to do.

Jared looked up from the lake and looked at her and he said," really?" He was kind of surprised that she had said yes to him. He wasn't really sure what to do next since this was the first Valentine that he had had. " so..." he really didn't know what to say now to start a conversation.
